I am interested in the opinion of Prof.. Dr. Hermawan Kartajaya, marketing experts from Indonesia who redefined marketing not only as a function business , but marketing is a business strategy. The opinion of Prof. Dr. Hermawan Kartajaya in redefine marketing sense, is that marketing is a business strategy in which there are elements that must be passed to the survival of the company. According to Prof. Dr. Hermawan Kartajaya in the redefinition of marketing as a business strategy, the marketing in principle is to give a value to its customers. And the value that was built for the consumer is about brand, service, and process.
Furthermore, according to Prof. Dr. Hermawan Kartajaya, the traditional concept of marketing should still be held first before the value elements is owned. Traditional concept of marketing includes marketing strategies and tactics that both have distinctive elements.
